The tank gang carries out a final plan: Nemo pretends to be dead, and the dentist flushes him into the sewer, which leads to the ocean. Nemo survives the flush. Marlin and Dory are about to be eaten by a whale, but Dory communicates with it, and they are swallowed, then blown out through the blowhole right next to the sewer outlet where Nemo emerges.
